Familiarity bias is when we are more attached to something simply because it is familiar to us.
Explanation
This is similar to the We prefer existing situations over alternatives despite better options. We prefer the known simply because it is known even if it is far from the best we can have. This stems from our innate desire to avoid Uncertainty creates anxiety when knowledge and control are incomplete.
