Prediction

Notes

The Limits of Foresight

Humans systematically fail at prediction due to cognitive biases and inherent randomness — our cognitive biases and life's built-in randomness make us far worse predictors than we believe. This gap between perceived and actual predictive ability has consequences for planning, decision-making, and emotional well-being, as we become attached to futures that were never guaranteed.
