if i want to link a date frontmatter to that day's daily page, it can not be done through the frontmatter. obsidian wont recognize it as a link. it can only be done through inline variables (such as variable::). best to include a link in the daily note of meaningful things such as books or courses finished on that day instead of including a separate field for a linked day.

has the option of having a lookup field based on a result of a query, for example to have a sum of links to file (as a value, not a query result), so this is saved and pusblished. hadnt used it yet but its interesting.
