Emotions
Notes
Emotions are not simply states to be managed — they are signals, motivators, and mirrors of how we relate to ourselves and the world. This Map covers the informational function of emotions and the inner narrative we use to interpret them.
Emotions as Signals examines the signal-value of emotional experience: how emotions carry decision-relevant information, how specific feelings (anger, guilt, fear, boredom) point toward specific unmet needs or misalignments, and how learning to read rather than suppress those signals turns them into fuel for growth and action.
Inner Critic and Self-Perception addresses how we relate to ourselves — the inner voice that judges, the defaults of optimism or pessimism, the difference between accurate self-assessment and imposter syndrome, and the language patterns that either build resilience or deepen spirals.
